Massachusetts State Police: Man dies from injuries after shots fired on Route 95
A man is dead after a shooting on a Massachusetts Highway.
According to a preliminary report by Dave Procopio of Massachusetts State Police, at just after 10:00 p.m. Saturday, Massachusetts State Police patrols responded to a shooting on Route 95 southbound in Foxborough that has resulted in a fatality.
Preliminary investigation suggests at least two vehicles were southbound and shots were fired.
One vehicle then came to a stop.
Responding Troopers found the occupant of the stopped vehicle with gunshot injuries. The male victim was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Troopers from the State Police Detective Unit for Norfolk County and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section have responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing and in a very early stage, according to Procopio.
