Massachusetts State Police: Man dead after high-speed crash on Route 95
The Massachusetts State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that resulted in a fatality early this morning on Route 95.
According to Brandon Doherty of Massachusetts State Police, preliminary investigation by Troopers assigned to the State Police-Foxboro Barracks indicates that at approximately 5:00 a.m., a 2020 Toyota Tundra, which was southbound at a high rate of speed attempted to changed lanes. The driver and lone occupant, an adult male, lost control of the vehicle. The Tundra struck the guardrail and entered the center median. The driver was ejected and determined to be deceased on scene. Doherty stated that the victim’s name is not being released at this time as notification of next-of-kin is ongoing.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash. The investigation into the crash is ongoing and is being conducted by Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and the State Police Detective Unit for Norfolk County.
The crash necessitated the closure of the left and middle lanes of the highway. All lanes were reopened at 9:30 a.m.
