A suicidal woman was rescued by multiple agencies including Massachusetts State Police after a suicide attempt.

According to Dave Procopio of Massachusetts State Police, at approximately 9:45 p.m. last night the Massachusetts State Police Marine Unit and Troop H patrols, along with Boston Fire and Boston Police were notified that a woman was in the ocean off the North Washington Street Bridge.

Boston Fire Department swimmers entered the channel, where the Charles River empties into the Boston Inner Harbor, and made contact with the adult woman. State Police Marine 31, crewed by Troopers Mark Hogan and Stephen McDonald, arrived on scene, and Firefighters swam the woman up to the boat. The Troopers pulled the woman and Firefighters aboard; the woman appeared to have no injuries other than being severely cold, and Troopers put a floatation jacket on her to help make her warm.

Marine 31 brought her to the MSP Marine Unit dock, where Boston EMS was waiting. She was transported to a Boston hospital for further treatment. Further investigation determined that the woman had entered the water to commit suicide.
