Massachusetts State Police and Fall River Fire and EMS responded to two morning highway crashes in the same area.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced that Route 24 northbound is closed at exit 5 due to an earlier crash.
At approximately 9:00 a.m., two separate crashes were reported in that same area.

Several patients were transported to area hospitals.
The road closure is expected to remain in place for several hours.
