Massachusetts State Police arrest Fall River man on list of charges after alleged Route 24 road rage incident

One Fall River man was summonsed, and another Fall River man is facing a list of charges after an alleged road rage incident on a local highway.

According to Trooper Brandon Doherty, at approximately 5:00 p.m., the Middleborough Barracks got a call of an aggressive driver on Route 24 South in Raynham. The caller stated that a male passenger of a vehicle pointed a firearm at them.

Cruisers from the Dartmouth Barracks were able to locate the suspected vehicle on Stetson Street in Fall River.

The driver of the vehicle was issued a summons to appear in court at a later date.

Troopers placed the passenger, 37-year-old Jose Diaz of Fall River, into custody and seized 2 firearms.

Diaz was charged with Wanton And Reckless Child Endangerment, Possession Of A Firearm In The Commission Of A Felony, Possession Of A Large Capacity Firearm In The Commission Of A Felony, Carrying A Loaded Firearm, Possession Of Ammunition Without FID, Disorderly Conduct, Disturbing The Peace, Assault With A Dangerous Weapon, Carrying A Loaded Firearm, and Possession Of A Large Capacity Firearm.

Massachusetts State Police Air Wing and Fall River Police assisted.
