Massachusetts sees increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations in Friday report as Baker issues travel executive order
Massachusetts saw an increase in hospitalizations in Friday’s COVID-19 report.
Massachusetts has seen 214 more positive cases announced in the last 24 hours. A decrease from the previous 24 hour period.
The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 107,897 with 14 more reported dead for a total of 8,279.
Massachusetts had seen 270 more positive cases in the previous 24 hour period.
13,104 tests were performed, over 3,000 less than yesterday, to increase the overall total to 1,410,099. The amount of individuals tested is 1,092,392.
Hospitalizations have decreased in 61 of the last 75 days and saw an increase today by 46 to see the total hit 397.

Massachusetts residents subject to COVID-19 quarantine by current status up to July 22nd
• Total of individuals subject to quarantine: 72,481
• Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 70,449
• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 2,032
According to the CDC, as of July 24th, the total amount of COVID-19 cases in the country is 4,024,492 with 143,868 dead.
