Massachusetts sees increase in COVID-19 deaths and hospitalizations Monday
Massachusetts saw another increase in hospitalizations in Monday’s COVID-19 report.
Massachusetts has seen 465 more positive cases announced today. A decrease from Sunday’s report. The 7 day weighted average positive test rate remains at 1.1%.
Massachusetts had seen 626 more positive cases announced yesterday.
The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 132,905 with 20 more reported dead for a total of 9,315.
11,265 tests were performed on new individuals, over 7,700 less than yesterday’s report, to increase the amount of individuals tested to 2,317,871. The overall amount of tests administered in Massachusetts is now 4,371,050.
The 3 day average of COVID-19 deaths increased to 14.
Hospitalizations have increased in 14 of the last 21 days and increased by 35 today to see the total lower to 473.

• Total of individuals subject to quarantine: 89,948
• Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 86,491
• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 3,457
According to the CDC, as of October 5th, the total amount of COVID-19 cases in the country is 7,396,730 with 209,199 dead.
