Massachusetts received another accolade to hang its hat on.
Massachusetts received another accolade to hang its hat on.
According to WalletHub, Massachusetts has the best ranked school system in the country. The state came out on top in both safety and quality.
The high marks for Massachusetts didn’t stop there. The state also ranked #1 in math test scores, reading test scores, and tied for first in median ACT scores. The bay state also tied for the top spot in lowest percentage of injured/threatened high school students.
WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across two key dimensions, including “Quality” and “Safety.” They evaluated those dimensions using 25 relevant metrics. Each metric was graded on a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 representing the highest quality of public K–12 education. They then determined each state and the District’s weighted average across all metrics to calculate its overall score and used the resulting scores to rank/order.
Connecticut placed third overall while Rhode Island came in seventeenth.
