Today, Governor Charlie Baker visited the drive-through testing site at Stanley Street Treatment and Resources (SSTAR) in Fall River, one of 18 community health centers to expand COVID-19 testing capacity in recent weeks through a partnership with the Baker-Polito Administration and Quest Diagnostics.
The tour began at 12:00 p.m. and concluded with Baker conducting his COVID-19 response press conference.
During the press conference, Baker was questioned on multiple occasions concerning his plan to re-open the economy and what steps would be taken on Monday.
“I would love to be able to reopen everything tomorrow, but that would be an incredibly irresponsible thing to do.”
Baker did not want to reveal details of the plan until the Reopening Advisory Board issues their report on Monday.
