Massachusetts movie theater apologizes, issues refunds, after typo suggests they were showing adult movie

A Massachusetts movie theater gave some a chuckle after a typo made for an interesting schedule advertisement.

Mendon Twin Drive-In in Mendon issued a statement Monday with some humor.

“We wanted to offer a sincere apology to our fans and our community. This morning, we got a call from a national media outlet asking us “why are you playing an xxx movie at a family venue this weekend, your opening weekend?”

“We are showing Minecraft followed by The Day The Earth Blew Up”. We made a typo and missed the “p” in UP. See screen shot below

“We are not showing a xxx movie, we are showing a Looney Tune cartoon

“We value families and regret this mistake

“Please join us for great double features this weekend, porn free!

“For all those customers who are asking for refunds, yes, you will get a refund. And yes. You can never come back. Sickos.”

Mendon Twin Drive-In’s opening day for the season will take place on Friday.
