Massachusetts man who hit $4 million State Lottery prize plans on spending some on his wife
Something tells me that a Massachusetts man that just hit big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket has heard the term, “happy wife, happy life”.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Jason Coulstring of Whitman is the first $4 million prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s new “$4,000,000 Lion’s Share” $10 instant ticket game.
Coulstring opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $2,600,000 (before taxes). He said he plans on purchasing a new car for his wife and doing some home improvements with the winnings.
He purchased his winning ticket at Route 18 Super Store, 336 Washington St. in Abington. The store receives a $40,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
The “$4,000,000 Lion’s Share” ticket launched on April 16. There are two $4 million grand prizes and five $1 million grand prizes remaining to be claimed

It’s really not a win cause you won 4,000.000.00 and only get 2,600.000.00 before taxes so a lot less.what a scam.

Would have gotten the 4 mill before taxes if lump sum wasn’t taken and took annuity.

Congratulations! I’m so happy for you. I’m from Whitman. I had a house on School Street for 25 years.

$2,480,000 after taxes if he took the annuity. The lump sum represents today’s value. About $1,612,000 after taxes with the lump sum.
