A Massachusetts man who had gone missing nearly 3 months ago has been found dead.

Family have issued a statement saying that a body found Saturday is in fact missing Bellingham man Mark Brunelle.

Mark’s daughter Nicole issued the following:

“It is with profound sadness that we announce that after 82 days missing, we finally have the answer we have been yearning for. While it is the outcome we have been prepared for, we deep down hoped that our guts were wrong & that he would turn up alive and well. Today we received confirmation that the body found in Uxbridge was in fact our father. The pain and sadness we all feel is indescribable, but we are so grateful to be given the gift of closure. There are still many obstacles ahead, but at least our father is home where he belongs. We find peace knowing that he was greeted at heavens gates by his loving son & that they are together again. Now we can say we have two guardian angels helping us through life and giving us strength as we mourn the both of them.”

“We are so appreciative for all of the support near and far throughout this difficult time. It has given us a sense of comfort that we were not alone on this journey. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts & are glad that we can send our dad off with the love and support from all of our friends and family near and far. We love you dad…until we meet again.”

Brunelle was last seen alive leaving his home on February 23rd.

Police found Brunelle’s cell phone and truck at a storage unit in Woonsocket.

Friends and family had never stopped searching for Brunelle as search after search was completed with no signs of him.
