A Massachusetts man has died after an accident while at work over the weekend.
According to NECN and the Plymouth County District Attorney’s office, 57-year-old Natalio Daveiga died after he was hit by a truck at Graham Waste Services in Brockton on Saturday morning.
The incident took place just after 8:30 a.m. and Daveiga was pronounced dead at the scene. Foul play is not suspected.
Graham Waste Services issued a statement on Monday.
“The Graham Waste Services lost one of our own in a tragic accident that occurred this past weekend. Our driver was a part of the GWS family for several years. Our hearts go out to his family in their time of loss. Our beloved driver was loved by all. Please bear with us as we try to navigate the oncoming days as we try to cope with our loss.”
According to news outlet Onda Kriolu, Daveiga leaves behind a wife and several children and is remembered by those who knew him as “an exemplary husband and father” who always fought and worked hard to “raise his family. Natalio was a very humble person, respectful and friend to everyone, especially to his family. He was also a tireless worker who never missed a day’s work.”
