A Massachusetts man can thank a store clerk after hitting big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Landon Ruiz is the first $4 million prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$4,000,000 Bonus Loot” instant ticket game, a Mass Lottery $10 ticket.
Ruiz, who is from Fall River, let the clerk pick his ticket.
He chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $2,600,000 (before taxes).
Ruiz purchased his winning ticket at Mama G’s, 168 Rodman Street in Fall River. The store will receive a $40,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
