Massachusetts man has some relaxing activities on the agenda after hitting $1 million State Lottery prize; here is how he picked the winning ticket
A Massachusetts man’s birthday number turned out to be very lucky last week.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, John Choate of Milford is the winner of a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$4,000,000 Monopoly Doubler” $10 instant ticket game.
Choate chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He said he purchased the ticket from dispenser #21 as that is the same day he was born on. Choate plans on traveling and fishing with his winnings.
He purchased his winning ticket at Mac Package Store, 86 Prospect St. in Milford. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
