Massachusetts lottery to celebrate lottery week with giveaways, specials, and deals
The Massachusetts State Lottery, in collaboration with lotteries across North America, has declared July 15-21 the inaugural observance of Lottery Week, a celebration of lotteries throughout the United States and Canada in acknowledgement of their collective contributions to the communities they serve.
The Mass Lottery established the first National Lottery Day on July 17, 2018, providing consumers and retail partners with a day of special promotions for lottery products, while celebrating the Lottery as an essential source of unrestricted local aid in the Commonwealth since selling its first ticket in 1972.
“We are pleased to be joined this year by lotteries throughout the country in celebrating the positive impacts that lotteries have on their communities, from generating significant funding for local and state initiatives, to providing an additional revenue stream for business owners, and awarding billions of dollars in prizes to customers who choose to play lottery games as a form of entertainment,” said Michael Sweeney, Executive Director of the Massachusetts State Lottery.
Lottery Week in Massachusetts will feature a different theme each day. Themes include the support the Lottery provides to all 351 cities and towns, the Lottery’s retail partners, responsible gambling, and the Lottery’s various products. Appreciation of lottery customers will be celebrated throughout the week with an assortment of promotions. Promotions include:
Jackpot Bundle
From July 15-21, for the first time, the Lottery will be offering the Jackpot Bundle. The Jackpot Bundle consists of a Powerball Quic Pic ($2 value), a Mega Millions Quic Pic ($2 value), and a free Megabucks Doubler Quic Pic ($1 value). The cost of the Jackpot Bundle is $4, so customers will be getting a $5 value for $4.
Keno and All or Nothing 2X Bonus
From July 16-21, the Lottery will add a 2X multiplier to Keno Bonus and All or Nothing Bonus, resulting in more games having a bonus multiplier.
Xtreme Fun Promotion at Lottery Offices
On Wednesday, July 17 (National Lottery Day), with the purchase of the entire family of new X Payout instant tickets ($18 value) at the Lottery’s Dorchester, Braintree, New Bedford, Springfield, Woburn or Worcester offices, customers will get the chance to play Plinko to win Lottery merchandise prizes.
Social Media Promotion
On Wednesday, July 17 (National Lottery Day), the Lottery will be running a promotion on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in which a $500 prize will be awarded to one winner on each of the three platforms.
