Massachusetts kidnapping suspect held without bail Thursday
A Massachusetts man who was arrested for abducting an 11-year-old girl appeared in court today.
According to Springfield Police, 24-year-old Miguel Rodriguez of Springfield was arraigned in Springfield District Court on charges including Kidnapping, Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and Witness Intimidation.
Rodriguez will be held without bail for a Dangerousness Hearing on January 22nd. He pleaded not guilty.
The Springfield Police Department Detective Bureau, under the direction of Captain Trent Duda, are not looking for any additional suspects in connection with Wednesday’s abduction, according to police. The one and only suspect, Miguel Rodriguez, is in custody.
Charlotte has been reunited with her family and according to police, her family is asking that everyone respects their privacy as they heal from this traumatic experience.
