Massachusetts foster cat with severely deformed legs finds special adopter and amazing new home
BOSTON – A special cat now has a special home.
MSPCA-Angell announced earlier this week that an adorable 11-week-old kitten named Gumby was up for adoption.
“We’ve never seen a cat quite like him – both of Gumby’s back legs are severely deformed, but he has learned to function really well despite his condition. He is able to get around and he acts like a regular kitten – he loves attention and can be a little mischievous. He doesn’t let anything get him down!”
The MSPCA brought Gumby up from Texas with a group of many other cats in an effort to help an overcrowded shelter.
“We knew that he would have the best shot at a comfortable life if he could be seen by our incredible specialists. Our shelter veterinarians are collaborating with the teams at Angell to explore all pathways to manage his condition, but Gumby is able to walk and use the litterbox, and he isn’t developing any sores, so further intervention is not needed at this time. However, he will need a very special adopter who can accommodate his needs as he is.”
They found that special adopter pretty quickly.

On Wednesday, MSPCA-Angell announced that their boy Gumby, now Noodles, has found an amazing home.
“We are happy to share he has been adopted and will get all of the forehead kisses he deserves forever. You can follow him on Instagram at @heisnoodles.”
