A Massachusetts family never gave up hope that they would someday see their beloved pet again after going missing nearly a year ago. That hope was turned into joy this week.

The Morrow family of West Medford saw their Bo disappear on May 14th, 2022, at approximately 2:00 p.m. The family contacted Missing Dogs Massachusetts to help find the 5-year-old Hound/Pit Mix.

The family and the Facebook page posted the missing dog repeatedly despite how bleak finding Bo appeared to be. There were no sightings of Bo anywhere and months of calls to the family only turned out to be scams.

The Morrows also brought another dog into their home while Bo was gone, but of course she couldn’t totally fill the void left by Bo’s disappearance.

On Thursday, MDM shared the amazing news.

“The call came from Pelham NH and from the microchip company to Bo’s family. He had been picked up in NH. This is from Bo’s very happy family: After more than 10 very long months, our sweet Bo is HOME. He was found roaming in Pelham, NH. Their animal control officer was notified, and they scanned his microchip (microchip your dog if you haven’t already!). He appears to have been well fed on his adventure. He and his puppy sister are already becoming best pals, wrestling to exhaustion. Thank you for all your thoughts, well wishes and time looking for him.”

This story is a reminder to all to microchip your dogs and register those chips!
