Our country is more divided now than ever, but there are moments when someone shows us bravery when political affiliation doesn’t matter. They just save a life risking their own for a stranger.

At approximately 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, a call came in for a vehicle that crashed and was on fire in the area of 259 West Street (Route 106) in East Bridgewater.

Crews responded to find a car fully involved with the flames quickly extinguished.

Through a social media post, more details were released concerning the victim through a man who said he was the grandson of the driver involved.

“To anyone who knows the person or if you are the person who SAVED my grandmother’s life by that car fire on (West) Street (in East) Bridgewater today and pulled her out and did CPR, my family and I would like to say thank you. If anyone could get me in touch with this person, it would be greatly appreciated!

Through the power of social media, the Good Samaritan was located and turned out to be a nurse from East Bridgewater named Dina.

While police, fire, and EMS deserve our respect for saving lives on a daily basis, sometimes it takes a nurse from Plymouth County to restore our faith in humanity.
