Massachusetts driver killed, passenger seriously injured, after high speed crash during police pursuit

A Massachusetts man was killed and another injured after crashing during a police pursuit this morning.


According to Dave Procopio of the Massachusetts State Police, shorty after 2:30 a.m. a Massachusetts State Police Trooper attempted to stop a motor vehicle for speeding on Route 95 northbound in Sharon. The vehicle refused to stop and fled at a very high rate of speed.

Troop H Headquarters authorized the Trooper to pursue the fleeing vehicle and assumed command and control.

Moments later the suspect vehicle, still traveling at a very high rate of speed, crashed in the area of Exit 11 in Norwood. The Trooper immediately requested EMS and the fire department to respond.

The suspect vehicle was occupied by two young adults, both males. The occupant believed to be the operator was Wildan Tmusic, 22, of Revere, who was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The occupant believed to be the vehicle’s passenger, a 20-year-old male from Revere, was transported to Boston Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The crash investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police, the State Police Detective Unit attached to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section.
