Massachusetts DOT Storm Advisory: Snowfall will impact road conditions across the state, gusty winds in play
BOSTON – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation is advising travelers that overnight snowfall is expected to impact travel in many regions of the state, tonight and through Monday, especially during the morning commute.
Travelers should allow for extra travel time and check forecasts for their routes and destinations.
The National Weather Service forecast indicates that the heaviest precipitation is expected in parts of central and western Massachusetts, with snowfall amounts of 4-8″ expected in some areas. MassDOT crews will be chemically treating and plowing roadways, but snowfall may result in slippery conditions impacting roadway conditions.

Tonight
Rain. Low around 32. North wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph.
Monday
Snow likely, possibly mixed with rain, becoming all snow after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 36. North wind 15 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
Monday Night
A chance of snow showers, mainly before 7pm. Cloudy, with a low around 23. North wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.
