Massachusetts DCR re-opens beach, Gooseberry, still cautions swimmers
Westport — The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) has re-opened the day-use area of Horseneck Beach State Reservation for normal hours of operations; however, visitors are reminded to swim in the designated area at the beach, where lifeguards are stationed, and to use caution while swimming following yesterday’s high surf conditions and strong rip currents. Additionally, Gooseberry Island will re-open, as well.
