Massachusetts COVID-19 positive test rate hits all time low Sunday, 13 more reported deaths
Massachusetts saw a decrease in hospitalizations for the fourth straight day in Sunday’s COVID-19 report.
Massachusetts has seen 174 more positive cases announced today. A decrease from Friday’s report. The 7 day weighted average positive test rate dropped to 0.9%.
Massachusetts had seen 421 more positive cases announced yesterday.
The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 118,483 with 13 more reported dead for a total of 8,816.
23,882 tests were performed, almost 7,300 less than yesterday’s report, to increase the overall total to 2,372,564. The amount of individuals tested is now 1,714,028.
Hospitalizations have decreased in 85 of the last 111 days as hospitalizations decreased by 15 today to see the total lower to 290.

• Total of individuals subject to quarantine: 80,709
• Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 77,940
• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 2,769
According to the CDC, as of August 30th, the total amount of COVID-19 cases in the country is 5,934,824 with 182,149 dead.
