Massachusetts COVID-19 hospitalizations increase for a third straight day, 3 day death rate lowered
Massachusetts saw an increase in hospitalizations for a third straight day in Monday’s COVID-19 report.
Massachusetts has seen 244 more positive cases announced today. A decrease from Sunday’s report. The 7 day weighted average positive test rate remains at 0.8%.
Massachusetts had seen 340 more positive cases announced yesterday.
The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 125,723 with 7 more reported dead for a total of 9,107.
10,823 tests were performed on new individuals, over 6,500 less than yesterday’s report, to increase the amount of individuals tested to 2,096,043. The overall amount of tests administered in Massachusetts is now 3,436,161.
The 3 Day Average of COVID-19 Deaths lowered to 14.
Hospitalizations have decreased in 91 of the last 133 days, however, they increased by 3 today to see the total rise to 367.

• Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 82,683
• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 1,917
According to the CDC, as of September 21st, the total amount of COVID-19 cases in the country is 6,786,352 with 199,024 dead.
