Massachusetts COVID-19 hospitalizations decrease after 4 day increase, amount of reported cases increases

Massachusetts saw a decrease in hospitalizations in Friday’s COVID-19 report after a 4 day increase.

Massachusetts has seen 443 more positive cases announced today. An increase from Thursday’s report. The 7 day weighted average positive test rate remains at 0.8%.

Massachusetts had seen 363 more positive cases announced yesterday.

The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 122,202 with 14 more reported dead for a total of 8,971.

19,406 tests were performed on new individuals, over 1,500 more than yesterday’s report, to increase the amount of individuals tested to 1,925,618. The overall amount of tests administered is now 2,905,353.

Hospitalizations have decreased in 89 of the last 123 days as hospitalizations decreased by 25 today to see the total drop to 330.

• Total of individuals subject to quarantine: 83,091
• Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 81,102
• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 1,989

According to the CDC, as of September 10th, the total amount of COVID-19 cases in the country is 6,381,013 with 191,353 dead.
