Massachusetts COVID-19 hospitalizations and positive test rate continue to rise
Massachusetts saw another increase in hospitalizations in Tuesday’s COVID-19 report.
Massachusetts has seen 450 more positive cases announced today. An increase from Monday’s report. The 7 day weighted average positive test rate increased to 1.0%.
Massachusetts had seen 367 more positive cases announced yesterday.
The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 129,243 with 8 more reported dead for a total of 9,210.
14,124 tests were performed on new individuals, over 1,100 more than yesterday’s report, to increase the amount of individuals tested to 2,219,798. The overall amount of tests administered in Massachusetts is now 3,988,224.
The 3 day average of COVID-19 deaths decreased to 12 from 13.
Hospitalizations have increased in 12 of the last 15 days and increased by 26 today to see the total rise to 444.

• Total of individuals subject to quarantine: 87,024
• Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 84,350
• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 2,674
According to the CDC, as of September 29th, the total amount of COVID-19 cases in the country is 7,129,313 with 204,598 dead.
