Massachusetts COVID-19 deaths, hospitalizations, cases increase as U.S. breaks another record

Massachusetts saw another increase in active cases and hospitalizations in Wednesday’s COVID-19 report.

Massachusetts has seen 2,495 more positive cases announced today. An increase from Tuesday’s report. The 7 day weighted average positive test rate increased yet again to 2.88%.

Massachusetts had seen 2,047 more positive cases announced yesterday.

The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total confirmed cases to 172,471 with 21 more reported dead for a total of 9,994.

The overall amount of tests administered in Massachusetts is now 6,906,649 after 80,321 new molecular tests.

The 3 day average of COVID-19 deaths increased to 20.

Estimated active cases are currently 25,055.

Hospitalizations have increased in 40 of the last 58 days and increased by 41 today to see the total raise to 659.

Weekly COVID-19 Public Health Report

According to Friday’s report, Fall River has a 41.8 Average Daily Incident Rate per 100,000 (Last 14 days) which is the fifth highest in the state. New Bedford sits at 28.4.

Massachusetts residents subject to COVID-19 quarantine by current status up to November 4th
• Total of individuals subject to quarantine: 108,129
• Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 101,787
• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 6,342

As of November 11th, according to the CDC, the United States has seen 10,170,846 cases of COVID-19 with 239,590 reported deaths.
