Massachusetts COVID-19 cases up to 777, 400 dead nationwide

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Massachusetts increased by 131 since yesterday.

The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 777.

104 cases have been found to be transmitted through the community and 75 are related to traveling. 499 are under investigation.

Governor Baker stated that he plans to continue to ramp up testing with 3,500 a day starting early this week.

According to the CDC, as of March 23rd, the total amount of cases in the country is 33,404 with 400 dead. Massachusetts has seen nine fatalities.

Fall River, Somerset, Swansea, Seekonk, Berkley, New Bedford, Taunton, Lakeville, Easton, Raynham, Mansfield, Attleboro, Middleboro, and Freetown have all seen cases of COVID-19.
