Massachusetts COVID-19 cases rise to 3,240, 35 dead, first death in Bristol County

Massachusetts has seen 823 more positive cases in the last 24 hours. An increase from the previous 24 hour period.

The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 3,240.

Massachusetts had seen 579 more positive cases in the previous 24 hour period.

163 cases have been found to be transmitted through the community and 93 are related to traveling. 2,885 are under investigation.

Massachusetts continues to ramp up testing.

Total of individuals subject to quarantine: 3,802
Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 1,655
Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 2,147

According to the CDC, as of March 27th, the total amount of cases in the country is 85.356 with 1,246 dead. Massachusetts has seen 25 fatalities.

Fall River, Dighton, Somerset, Swansea, Seekonk, Berkley, New Bedford, Taunton, Lakeville, Easton, Raynham, Mansfield, Attleboro, Middleboro, and Freetown have all seen cases of COVID-19.
