Massachusetts COVID-19 cases jump to 646 as testing continues to increase
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Massachusetts increased by 121 since yesterday.
The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 646.
83 cases have been found to be transmitted through the community and 68 are related to traveling. 396 are under investigation.

Governor Baker stated that he plans to continue to ramp up testing with 3,500 a day starting some time early next week. In a 2:00 p.m. news conference Friday, Baker emphasized that with this increase testing, positive cases are likely to increase.

According to the CDC, as of March 20th, the total amount of cases in the country is 15,219 with 201 dead. Massachusetts has seen two fatalities.
Fall River, Somerset, Swansea, Seekonk, Berkley, New Bedford, Taunton, Lakeville, Easton, Raynham, Mansfield, Attleboro, and Freetown have all seen cases of COVID-19.
