Massachusetts COVID-19 case counts continue to increase, deaths and hospitalizations decrease
Massachusetts saw a decrease in hospitalizations in Friday’s COVID-19 report.
Massachusetts has seen 753 more positive cases announced today. An increase from Thursday’s report. The 7 day weighted average positive test rate remains at 1.1% after recent increases.
Massachusetts had seen 708 more positive cases announced yesterday.
The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 131,214 with 10 more reported dead for a total of 9,275.
21,451 tests were performed on new individuals, almost 3,300 more than yesterday’s report, to increase the amount of individuals tested to 2,273,812. The overall amount of tests administered in Massachusetts is now 4,200,018.
The 3 day average of COVID-19 deaths decreased to 14 from 18.
Hospitalizations have increased in 12 of the last 18 days, but decreased by 15 today to see the total lower to 421.
