Massachusetts continues to buck national COVID-19 trends in Saturday report as cases near 110,000

Massachusetts saw a decrease in hospitalizations in Saturday’s COVID-19 report.

Massachusetts has seen 210 more positive cases announced in the last 24 hours. A decrease from the previous 24 hour period.

The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 109,838 with 23 more reported dead for a total of 8,172.

Massachusetts had seen 290 more positive cases in the previous 24 hour period.

7,940 tests were performed, more than 3,500 less than yesterday, to increase the overall total to 1,116,271. The amount of individuals tested is 880,320.

Hospitalizations have decreased in 47 of the last 54 days.

As of June 1st, the Department of Public Health began reporting both confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases and deaths.

This change is in accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control to include “probable” COVID-19 cases and deaths in data collection and reporting efforts. This change has increased the number of cases and deaths reported in Massachusetts.

Massachusetts residents subject to COVID-19 quarantine by current status up to July 1st
• Total of individuals subject to quarantine: 69,190
• Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 66,921
• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 2,269

According to the CDC, as of July 4th, the total amount of cases in the country is 2,784,452 with 129,393 dead.

    What in the common core math crap is this. 1116271 tests administered / 880320 individuals tested .what about the other 235951 tests .

      People have been tested multiple times.
