Massachusetts approaching 9,000 reported COVID-19 deaths after today’s report
Massachusetts saw a slight increase in hospitalizations in Saturday’s COVID-19 report.
Massachusetts has seen 435 more positive cases announced today. A decrease from Friday’s report. The 7 day weighted average positive test rate remains at 0.8%.
Massachusetts had seen 443 more positive cases announced yesterday.
The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 122,637 with 16 more reported dead for a total of 8,987.
18,313 tests were performed on new individuals, almost 1,100 less than yesterday’s report, to increase the amount of individuals tested to 1,943,931. The overall amount of tests administered is now 2,968,723.
Hospitalizations have decreased in 89 of the last 124 days as hospitalizations, however, they increased by 1 today to see the total rise to 331.

• Total of individuals subject to quarantine: 83,091
• Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 81,102
• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 1,989
According to the CDC, as of September 12th, the total amount of COVID-19 cases in the country is 6,427,058 with 192,388 dead.
