HUDSON — Chief Richard DiPersio reports that the Hudson Police Department is investigating after four people were injured during an altercation late Saturday night.

Hudson Police have issued an arrest warrant for Diony Cimini-Freitas, 26, of Hudson on the charge of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon Causing Serious Bodily Injury. Cimini-Freitas is currently wanted by police at this time.

On Saturday, March 7th, police responded to a 911 call just before midnight for a report of a disturbance inside of the Old Schoolhouse Pub, 17 School St.

Upon arrival, officers located three victims suffering from stab wounds inside the pub. Two of the victims sustained stab wounds to the abdomen area and one victim sustained a stab wound to the arm. A fourth victim was located outside the pub suffering from a stab wound to the leg.

All parties were transported via ambulance to area hospitals. Their injuries are serious but are not believed to be life-threatening.

Through a subsequent investigation, police identified Cimini-Freitas as the alleged suspect.

Upon further investigation, police determined that the four victims were inside of the pub when an altercation occurred between a large group of individuals. During the altercation, Cimini-Freitas allegedly brandished a knife and attacked the four victims.

The investigation remains active and ongoing at this time, according to police.

The Hudson Police Department believes that the victims and Cimini-Freitas were known to each other and that this incident was not a random act of violence. Chief DiPersio stresses that there is no immediate threat to the community.
