Man in serious condition after being thrown from ATV
BRIDGEWATER — Police Chief Christopher Delmonte and Fire Chief Thomas Levy report that the Bridgewater Police and Fire Departments responded to a crash involving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) that seriously injured a man on Sunday, Oct. 13.
At approximately 6:17 p.m., the Bridgewater Police and Fire Departments responded to a report of an ATV rollover in the area of 195 Curve St. The initial on-scene investigation showed that the ATV was traveling in the area of an excavation site, hit a stone pile and rolled over. The operator, a 60-year-old male, appeared to have been thrown from the ATV.
Upon arrival, Bridgewater Fire paramedics and Bridgewater Police officers rendered aid to the ATV operator, who was transported to Flagg Street Field and flown by medical helicopter to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center with what are believed to be serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by Bridgewater Police.
