FAIRHAVEN — Lt. Kevin Kobza reports that the Fairhaven Police Department arrested and charged a man with trafficking fentanyl this week.

At approximately 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5, Fairhaven Police detectives, with assistance from the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office and Drug Enforcement Administration, executed a search warrant at the home of 40-year-old Joshua Clark’s home on Edgewater Street.

Clark was located near his home outside and was placed under arrest. In searching Clark’s possessions he was allegedly found to have 30 grams of fentanyl on him.

After taking Clark into custody, investigators conducted a search of the house.

Inside the home, detectives located and seized an additional six grams of fentanyl, along with $28,000.

Clark was charged with Trafficking More Than 10 Grams of Fentanyl and Possession of a Class E Substance.

Clark was arraigned Wednesday, Jan. 6, at New Bedford District Court. He was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on Friday, Jan. 8.

“This was great work by our detectives in getting these drugs off the streets and arresting the suspect,” Lt. Kobza said. “We would like to thank our law enforcement partners who assisted in this operation.”
