Man has face slashed while walking in Fall River
Fall River Police are looking into an incident that left a man bloody on July 4th.
According to Captain Daniel Dube, at approximately 5:00 p.m., patrol units responded to the area of Plymouth Avenue near the 99 Restaurant regarding a male bleeding from a stab wound to the face.
According to the victim, he was walking on Plymouth Avenue and was approached by a Hispanic man who bumped his shoulder as they passed one another. The victim stated words were exchanged and the suspect pulled out a razor or knife and slashed the left side of his face. According to scanner reports, there was quite a bit of blood at the scene.
The suspect fled the area after the incident, according to the victim.
The victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
The incident remains under investigation by FRPD.
