Man dies in Massachusetts crash just two days before his first Father’s Day
Officials have released the name of a man killed in a crash in Massachusetts and according to family, he died just before his first Father’s Day.
According to Chief Karlowicz, on Friday at approximately 1:26 a.m., Dudley Police along with Dudley Fire/EMS were dispatched to the area of Schofield Ave. near Perryville Rd. for a motor vehicle accident. Webster Police also responded to the area.
Upon arrival, officers located a heavily damaged vehicle with one occupant. Officers attempted to render lifesaving aid until EMS arrived. The 28-year-old male driver was transported to UMASS Hubbard where he succumbed to his injuries.
The identity of the deceased has been confirmed by the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office as 28-year-old Rafal Lachcik of Thompson, Connecticut.
Rafal’s wife posted a touching tribute to her husband on social media.
“Rafał, I am lucky enough to have found the love of my life and my soulmate in high school and we have spent half of your life together. You have given me endless love, laughter and happiness over these years, and most importantly you have given me Emilia. Happy heavenly first Father’s Day my love. There will never be the right words to this heartbreaking and life shattering news, but I have loved you then, love you now and will always love you forever more.”
CEMLEC accident reconstruction is conducting the investigation into the crash.
