A local man who was arrested for allegedly exposing himself in Warren is now also facing similar charges in Newport.
Joshua D. Strother, 24, of Warren, was arrested in Warren after exposing himself to a 15 year old girl while she waited at a school bus stop.
According to police, he also faces two misdemeanor charges out of Newport for allegedly exposing himself to three Thompson School girls. Strother is current incarcerated. The first girl was waiting for a friend at the corner of Broadway and Bayview Avenue on February 27 at 8:19 a.m. The girls were going to walk to school together, but when a man in a red Camry wearing no pants drove by, she ran away. He was “waving his private parts at her.” Officers did not find the car after a search.
Two other girls were walking home together when a red Camry drove along Kay Street and stopped at every intersection on their way home. According to the girls, the driver had one hand on the wheel.
