Local fire departments extinguish Saturday afternoon fire in Freetown
Fire officials responded to, and extinguished, a structure fire in Freetown Saturday afternoon.
At approximately 5:00 p.m., a call came in for smoke showing at 218 Middleboro Road (Route 18).
Both Freetown and Lakeville Fire Departments responded. Dartmouth Fire provided cover/mutual aid.
Currently the fire is still under investigation by authorities, but at this time is not deemed to be suspicious.
According to Freetown Fire Officials, the current damage is estimated at $150,000.
No injures were reported.
