LETTER: Fall River mom recognizes teacher for going above and beyond for her son
My name is Tara Valero. I’m from Fall River and I would absolutely love to tell you about my son’s 7th grade teacher. He goes to Talbot Middle School and he is remote learning.
My son, Mason, knows how important being present every day for school is and getting good grades. Well, last week, he was 1 out of 10 students in the school to receive the Principals list award. His Teacher Erin Dominov went above and beyond and took the time out of her busy days and bought my son a beautiful Hallmark Christmas card and gave him a $10 gift card inside, but what she wrote in it was what moved me the most.
The perfect words of praise and encouragement for just being him. She said she was proud of him.
I was taken aback because especially nowadays with COVID and being totally stressed and overworked, you don’t really see teachers go ABOVE and beyond for a student.
This is a memory myself, husband, and more importantly, my son will ALWAYS remember.

What a wonderful teacher. I am so glad he has one that really cares.

What a nice sentiment! Teachers dont get nearly enough recognition. Hats off to her!
