A local man became the newest winner in a Massachusetts $1 million instant scratch ticket.
James Chisholm of Lakeville has claimed the first $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Emerald 8’s” instant game.
Chisholm chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (less tax withholdings).
His winning ticket was purchased at 7 Eleven, 411 Pleasant St in Brockton. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of the ticket.
There are four $1 million prizes still available in the “Emerald 8’s” $5 instant game.
