Lakeville, Freetown, Berkley respond to afternoon crash with three injured
Several local crews responded to a motor vehicle crash on Sunday.
According to the Lakeville Fire Department, Lakeville Firefighters were dispatched to an accident with injuries just before 1:30 p.m. this afternoon. The crash occurred near the intersection of County and Freetown Street. At the time of the crash, 3 of the 4 on duty firefighters were committing to a prior medical emergency in Ambulance 3.
A recall was transmitted for supplemental staffing, allowing Ambulance 2, Engine 1, and Car 2 to respond. Two additional mutual aid ambulances were dispatched to assist Lakeville crews.
A total of 3 patients were transported to the hospital by ambulances from Lakeville, Freetown Fire Department, and Berkley Fire and Rescue.
The collision is under investigation.
