Jungleland production team announces new co-star, movie details
LOS ANGELES, CA August 27, 2018 – Romulus Entertainment, Big Red Films and Scott Free Productions announce the start of principal photography in Massachusetts on JUNGLELAND. Max WInkler (Flower, Ceremony) directs (and co-wrote) the drama starring Charlie Hunnam (“Sons Of Anarchy,” Lost City of Z, King Arthur), Jack O’Connell (Unbroken, ’71, Starred Up) and Jessica Barden (The Lobster, “The End of the F—ing World”). The original screenplay is by Winkler, Theodore B. Bressman and David Branson Smith. Brad Feinstein (Romulus Entertainment), Jules Daly (Big Red Films) and Kevin Walsh and Ryan Stowell (Scott Free Productions) are producing.
A reluctant bareknuckle boxer (O’Connell) and his brother (Hunnam) must travel across the country for one last fight, but an unexpected travel companion (Barden) exposes the cracks in their bond along the way.
The Director of Photography is Damián García (“Mars,” Güeros), the Production Designer is Jeremy Reed (My Dinner With Hervé, London Fields), the Costume Designer is Michelle Thompson (Flower, Duck: A Film By Kevin Bacon), the Editor is Tomas Vengris (Jonathan, I Don’t Feel At Home In This World Anymore), the Casting Director is Douglas Aibel (Manchester By The Sea, The Grand Budapest Hotel).
JUNGLELAND is shooting on locations in Fall River and New Bedford, MA, Buffalo, NY, Gary, IN, Reno, NV and San Francisco, CA.

Big Red Films is the production banner of Jules Daly, former longtime president of RSA Films. Big Red’s upcoming slate includes the sci-fi thriller Nemesis, based on the Mark Millar graphic novel, adapted by Stephen Chin for Warner Bros.; Netflix’s War Party, starring Tom Hardy, which will center on real-life Navy SEALs; Gold, to be co-produced by Jessica Biel’s Iron Ocean Productions; Governess, a co-production with Michael Bay’s Bay Films for Warner Bros.; as well as Bootsie’s War and Lost Children of Tuam, to be co-produced by Liam Neeson.
