A Massachusetts man has some smart plans and a reason to smile after winning big money playing a State Lottery game recently.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Michael Sacks of East Bridgewater is the winner of a $281,851 prize on a $1 bet while playing “The Lamp,” an online-only eInstant game available through Mass Lottery Online.
Sacks claimed his $281,851 prize (before taxes) at the Mass Lottery’s headquarters in Dorchester. “It still doesn’t even feel real, it’s a crazy feeling,” Sacks said when asked how it feels to win this prize. He plans on investing and savings the winnings.
Prizes won purchased online of $50,000 or more must be claimed at the Lottery’s headquarters in Dorchester.
To play Mass Lottery games online, players must be 21 or older and physically located in Massachusetts at the time of play and to make a deposit to their account. Players need to have a Mass Lottery Player Account, which can be created at masslottery.com or by downloading the Mass Lottery App on a mobile device or tablet.
