Investigation involving agencies from across Massachusetts results in sentence of gang member for racketeering, firearm, and drug offenses
BOSTON – A Boston area man has been sentenced for his role in Cameron Street, a violent Boston gang.
According to the Massachusetts Department of Justice, 26-year-old Keiarri Dyette, a/k/a “Kemo,” was sentenced by U.S. Senior District Court Judge William Young to 42 months in prison and four years of supervised release. In March 2024, Dyette pleaded guilty to conspiracy to participate in a racketeering enterprise, dealing in firearms without a license and conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine.
Dyette was identified as a member Cameron Street, a violent gang based largely in the Dorchester section of Boston. According to court documents, Cameron Street members use violence and threats of violence to preserve, protect, and expand its territory, promote a climate of fear, and enhance its reputation. They allegedly possess, carry, and use firearms to murder and assault their rivals. Like many members of Cameron Street, Dyette had tattoos and or wore clothing featuring the letter “C” or “KC” (for “Killa Cam”) that signified his membership in the gang:
As part of his role in the Cameron Street enterprise, Dyette used a pistol to assault a rival NOB/Wendover gang member in a parking lot on Hancock Street in Boston. Additionally, Dyette sold firearms and worked with other Cameron Street members to distribute cocaine and marijuana.
Acting United States Attorney Joshua S. Levy; James M. Ferguson, Special Agent in Charge of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives, Boston Field Division; Stephen Belleau, Acting Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration, New England Field Division; and Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox made the announcement. Assistance was provided by the Massachusetts State Police; Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office; Suffolk, Plymouth, Norfolk and Bristol County District Attorney’s Offices; and the Canton, Quincy, Randolph, Somerville, Brockton, Malden, Stoughton, Rehoboth and Pawtucket (R.I.) Police Departments. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Christopher Pohl and Charles Dell’Anno of the Criminal Division prosecuted the case.
This operation is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces Strike Force Initiative, which provides for the establishment of permanent multi-agency task force teams that work side-by-side in the same location.

Absolutely EVERYTHING wrong with this state. less than 4 years for dealing drugs and guns while being a gang member. He will never serve the whole 4 years. All these resources throw at this for what? The politicians of this state are NOT serious about keeping the streets safe for the law abiding.

This is so wrong! All those resources 4 4 years. I’m a homeless person who paid taxes all my life, (62), & I sleep on the floor in a shelter. What they spent to prosecute this guy for 4 years could get me a place to live for the rest of my life. No other state wastes money like this. They pay cops to stand at construction sites, costing millions per day doing nothing,signs cost a few thousand and do the same thing. This state just doesn’t care about wasting money and the public is to ignorant to object! The country itself is imploding

I can’t believe the money this state wastes. They investigate and entire gang and take down one guy for four years.Democratic states care no longer about crime. How is someone involved in murder(s) & gets off like that. They seem to be promoting that you won’t be doing much time for committing crime. What kind of message are you sending out here. This should be at least 20 years. Must be a Democrat judge that did this I assume

As previous commenter wrote, it’s astonishing that the Big Bad Feds take down 1 gang member although they know the entire membership are criminals!
Does that make the residents feel safer???
The gang will probably seek out snitches and inadvertently kill some innocent bystanders instead.
