I found the perfect Portuguese-style littlenecks at Mesa 21 in Fall River

As a foodie, I’m always trying to find the perfect meal: something delicious, not too expensive, and something I can eat regularly. Yesterday, I found the perfect Portuguese-style littlenecks at Mesa 21 at 21 Lindsey Street in Fall River.

When it comes to littlenecks, the Portuguese and Spanish seem to do the best job making a stew. The Spanish restaurants that I’ve been to usually have different versions as Tapas (small dishes) and the Portuguese make it more hearty. For example, Mesa 21’s version is called Mesa’s Little Necks and it’s listed on the appetizer menu, but I ordered as my dinner with a glass of wine. You can get it as a dinner because Mesa 21 brings you a decent-sized basket of mixed pieces of bread that is fantastic for soaking the simple, yet delicious broth. Mesa 21’s fantastic stew comes with a dozen or more littlenecks in a simple broth with red peppers, green peppers, onions, garlic, and lots of sliced linguica. I paired the littlenecks with a glass of Chianti that went extremely well with the meal.
