It is not every day that you see an animal cruising on an area highway, but that happened for some drivers today.
According to Massachusetts State Police, today at 11:15 a.m., Troopers from our Middleborough Barracks, along with MSPCA Police, Taunton Police, and Massachusetts Department of Transportation workers responded to Route 140 in Taunton for a horse running on the highway.
Responders were able to safely get control of the horse by using a leash supplied by MSP K9 Unit Trooper Brian Soares.
The horse’s owner then arrived on scene and a trailer was summonsed to take the horse home.
Seen here, Trooper Jason Duarte and MSPCA Officer Chelsea Weiand with the beautiful animal, who just felt like it was a good day for a morning run.
