Homeland Security, Brockton and East Bridgewater Police Detectives arrest two, seize drugs, guns, magazines, ammo
With help from law enforcement partners, the Brockton Police put an alleged drug dealer behind bars and took Fentanyl and several illegal guns and ammunition off the streets Friday.
According to police, Brockton Police narcotics detectives executed a search warrant on a suspected drug dealer’s vehicle and his residence on Moraine Street.
Detectives seized 834 grams of Fentanyl, eight firearms, three loaded high-capacity magazines, and an assorted array of ammunition. Among the firearms confiscated were three ghost guns with no serial numbers.
The state’s CINRET SOUTH Unit-also known as the Commonwealth Interstate Narcotics Reduction and Enforcement Team, aided in shutting down the gun and drug trafficking operation. CINRET South includes State Troopers, Brockton and East Bridgewater Police Detectives, and Department of Homeland Security agents.
The target of the investigation, 38-year-old Khattiya Shem, faces charges of Trafficking in Fentanyl of more than ten grams, Gun Trafficking between three to nine firearms, Receiving Stolen Property (Rifle), Possession of a Class C Drug, Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.
Police also arrested 20-year-old Nathen Thomas Khattiya on three counts of Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.
